The challenge
Law firm websites tend to be cold and generic, or they overpromise outcomes no advocate can guarantee. Northstar needed to feel composed and approachable, convert visitors into enquiries, and read as specifically Kenyan without clichés.
The firm doesn't exist, so the site couldn't invent credentials, testimonials, contact details or legal claims a visitor might mistake for fact.
The approach
The design borrows from editorial publishing: large serif headlines, navy and ivory with gold kept to thin rules, and practice areas as a numbered index rather than a grid of icon cards. The hero went through three rounds before settling on the Nairobi skyline fading into ivory behind the headline.
The content system was built to stay honest. Team credentials stay empty until verified, testimonials only render when marked as approved, and placeholder contact details read "to be confirmed" instead of plausible fakes.
Almost every page is prerendered. Only the mobile menu, the insights filter and the consultation form run in the browser.

The result

- Interaction and motion checks in a real browser
